March Wrap-Up — Education, Industry Recognition & Growth

March was a strong month across education, the shop, and the overall growth of the brand. Between teaching barbers across the country, being featured in an international publication, and expanding the product offering in the shop, it’s been a month focused on growth and industry contribution.

Education — Teaching Barbers Nationwide

In March, I delivered two online education seminars to barbers across Australia.

The first was my Consultation Framework Seminar, where I teach the consultation system I use every day in the shop. The focus of this seminar is communication, clarity, and creating structure in the service so barbers can improve client retention and deliver more consistent results.

The second was my Fade Mentorship Class, where I break down my fading system — including zero line placement, weight distribution, blending, and understanding head shape. The goal of this class is to help barbers troubleshoot common problems and improve consistency in their fades.

Education is becoming a big part of what I do. Being able to share systems that I use daily and seeing other barbers apply them in their own shops is something I take seriously, because it contributes to raising the standard of the industry overall.

Featured in EVO Magazine

In March, I was also featured in EVO Magazine, a global print and digital publication that showcases barbers, hairdressers, educators, industry leaders, and new trends in the hair and beauty industry. The magazine features professionals from around the world who are contributing to the industry through education, creativity, and innovation.

Being featured in an international industry publication is a great honour, and it represents not just personal recognition, but also the standard of barbering coming out of Australia.

New Product Range — BLAK Haircare

This month, we also introduced BLAK Haircare into the shop. BLAK is an Australian men’s grooming brand founded by barbers and developed from years of industry experience, with a focus on professional-grade, salon-quality products designed for performance and everyday use.

Bringing in BLAK aligns with the direction of the shop — offering high-quality products that match the standard of the service. The goal is to make sure clients are not only getting a premium haircut, but also using the right products at home so they can maintain the haircut properly between appointments.

Fully Booked Behind the Chair

The shop remained fully booked throughout March. Consistency like this comes from client relationships, high service standards, and delivering consistent results at every appointment. Being fully booked allows me to continue refining the client experience, improving systems in the business, and continuing to grow the education platform.

Moving Forward

The focus moving forward is to continue building the education platform, continue improving the service and experience in the shop, and continue contributing to the industry through education and content.

March was a month focused on education, growth, and industry contribution, and the goal is to continue building on that momentum through the rest of the year.
